Steampunk corkscrew: the Hinged Wondler

How they open wines in the future of the past

There are any myriad ways of opening wine. I like the Samurai sword style: just one sweep of a razor-sharpened katana across the neck and let the pinot noir flow.

But for those who like a slightly less dramatic method, try this “Hinged Wondler” [sic] from True Fabrications. It’s design is taken from Victorian era (thus the steampunk aesthetic) wine openers.

It comes in a nice wooden box, makes a great gift for an eccentric (even if mildly) wine lover.
