Have fun with spring chores: forged watering nozzles

Look good, feel good while blasting into spring

Yes, spring is getting nearer (I hasten to say it’s here in Southern California – the cherry blossoms are even starting to fall already) . As my friend Randy says, it’s Farch. And the coming of Farch tolls in the constant outdoor reminders that we must beging spring cleaning. We must start planting. We must get ready for summer.

Summer. Woohoo!

But…we’re not there yet. There’s the gutters to clean, the storm windows to remove. The spraying down of things and the watering of our seeds. It will soon be time to attach the hose, turn on the water and go to town.

And with these little nozzles, I’m excited to do it. A two set includes what I call the blaster, but DWR calls a “stream fixture”. This is the one you use to blast the shit out of whatever it is that needs blasting. The driveway. The siding. Your mother-in-law. (Though it is adjustable if you have less blast-intensive jobs to do.)

It also includes what I call the “boring one” but DWR calls the “spray fixture”. This is what you will use, in those salad days soon to come, to gently douse your lovely greenery with the elixir of life: water. (Though I hasten to mention this one has an adjustable stream so you may well use it for blasting if you like…)

They’re both forged in brass with a satin finish, so you’ll look cool doing your blasting or gentle misting.
