Spaghetti Scrub from recycled peach pits and corn cobs

Eco-friendly and "fun" scrub-a-dub

It’s hard to get too excited about washing the dishes. Frankly I try to use my cooking skills to negotiate daily domestic deals to get out of them entirely. But, here is a cool product that is green AND effective – and might even make it a little more fun. Spaghetti scrubs. Made from recycled corn cobs, peach pits and walnut shells, they have good abrasive power – enough to clean grills or even the skins off veggies. But the abrasives are not too hard that they will scratch up your good pots. The spaghetti shape makes them flexible enough to get into nooks and crannies and also those difficult to clean vases and whatnot.

They are bacteria resistant and the manufacturer says you can use to clean without using detergent…that’s up to you of course.

Either way, a handy ingenious and eco friendly invention. And if you have kids, it may even help make dishwashing “fun”.
